The ceremony brought together the District Chief Executive, Hon. Ignatius Godfred Dordoe, traditional leaders, and enthusiastic residents, all united by a shared vision: delivering modern, safe, and spacious learning facilities for the next generation.

The project signals a major milestone for the Shai-Osudoku District, reinforcing government’s strong commitment to expanding educational infrastructure and improving learning outcomes across communities.

Speaking at the event, officials underscored that education remains the foundation of sustainable development. The new classroom block is expected to ease congestion, improve teaching and learning conditions, and create an environment that inspires academic excellence.

Beyond bricks and mortar, leaders described the project as a strategic investment in human capital — one that will unlock opportunities for children and drive long-term socio-economic growth in the district.

The initiative forms part of a broader development agenda aimed at strengthening education across Shai-Osudoku. Plans are already underway for similar 12-unit classroom blocks at Ghanata Senior High School and Osudoku Technical Institute (OSUTECH), signaling a sweeping transformation of the district’s educational landscape.

The contractor, Mr. Julius Quashigah of KETEH-PLUTUS LTD, has pledged readiness to begin work immediately, raising hopes for timely completion. Authorities also called on traditional leaders, parents, and the school community to support the project to ensure smooth execution.

With momentum building and community support growing, the Ayikuma classroom project stands as a powerful symbol of progress — a promise that the future of education in Shai-Osudoku is not just bright, but firmly under construction.
