The projects were officially commissioned by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Alhaji Imoro Yakubu Kakpagu, together with the Member of Parliament for the Kumbungu Constituency, Prof. Hamza Adam.
Each of the newly completed three-unit classroom blocks is equipped with office and store facilities, a four-unit KVIP toilet and a two-unit urinal, providing a conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.
The projects are expected to address classroom accommodation challenges, reduce overcrowding and enhance access to quality education for pupils in the beneficiary communities.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Kumbungu District Director of Education, Mr. Sulemana Yahaya, urged pupils to remain focused on their studies and encouraged teachers to make the best use of the facilities to improve academic performance.
He also appealed to residents to protect and maintain the infrastructure to ensure its longevity and attract more development projects to their communities.
The Paramount Chief of the Voggu Traditional Area, Naa Bapre Voggu-Naa Sulemana Saaka, emphasized the importance of education in community development and called on parents to prioritize their children's schooling.
He further urged students to remain disciplined and avoid activities that could negatively affect their academic progress, while advocating peaceful coexistence as a foundation for development.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Hamza Adam encouraged parents to pay closer attention to their children's education and personal hygiene. He also charged teachers to remain committed and punctual in the discharge of their duties.
For his part, Hon. Alhaji Imoro Yakubu Kakpagu reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to improving educational infrastructure and creating opportunities for young people to succeed.
"As a district, we remain focused on providing quality infrastructure and creating opportunities for our children to prosper," the DCE stated.
He assured the beneficiary schools that furniture would be provided to complement the new facilities and reiterated the Assembly's commitment to investing in education, healthcare, roads, electricity and potable water projects across the district.
