Madam Regina Bennet Siaw, the Acting President of Bono GJA in her brief remarks, assured the Regional Minister of the unflinching support of the Media to promote peace and development. She added that the leadership was ready to support the Minister to achieve the reset agenda of the Government.

The Minister, Mr. Joseph Addae Akwaboa in his remarks to welcome the GJA leadership said his doors was for them support him achieve the reset agenda of the government.

He called on the media to ensure responsible journalism to attract investors into the Region to promote development. He appealed to the journalists in the Region to also project the Region to attract investors and to be circumspect in their reportage that dwells on negativity which will drive investors away.

Mr. Imoro T Ayibani, Bono Regional Director of Information Services Department and member of GJA expressed worrying situation of the activities of  Citizen's Journalism and some bloggers challenges the public is facing with the spread of fake news.  On the activities of Citizen’s Journalism and Bloggers, the Minister appealed to GJA and National Media Commission to come out with measures to deal with the situation.

He sought the support of the media in the fight against illegal mining, illegal logging and the activities of Nomadic cattle header in the Region.
