Date Created : 8/19/2026 : Story Author : Theresa Workartey/ Ghanadistricts.com
The community, which was assessed as part of efforts to monitor sanitation conditions within the municipality, appeared clean and well maintained, with most of the gutters free from refuse and silt.
The improved sanitation situation is being attributed to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Frank Nkansah's consistent attention to sanitation and environmental cleanliness across communities in the municipality.
During the visit, gutters observed in Laterbiokorshie were largely clean and properly desilted, reducing the accumulation of stagnant water and waste that could contribute to flooding and the spread of diseases.
Residents and community members are encouraged to complement the Assembly’s efforts by maintaining clean surroundings and avoiding the indiscriminate disposal of waste into gutters and other public spaces.
The development underscores the importance of sustained sanitation campaigns and community participation in creating clean, healthy and resilient communities within the Ablekuma Central Municipality.
GhanaDistricts.com will continue to monitor sanitation and other developmental initiatives across the country and report on their impact on local communities.
