Twifo Atti-Morkwa assembly organizes clean-up exercise

The District Chief Executive of Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Robert Agyemang Nyantakyi has led a massive cleanup exercise to clear off filth that has engulfed the area.

Some staff members of the Assembly, who also took part in the exercise, were put into various groups and sent to the various communities to lead residents who had already organized themselves to take active part in the exercise.

The exercise, which started at about 6:30am took place in almost all the communities and ended before noon.

Addressing residents in some of the communities, the DCE assured them of his readiness to ensure that the District becomes clean to avoid the outbreak of diseases such as cholera, malaria and typhoid.

He however, cautioned them to endeavor to maintain clean environment as the assembly will not hesitate to enforce strict laws by punishing offenders who indiscriminately dispose of filth in the area.

He also applauded Assembly staff for showing up in their number and making the exercise a success.
