This significant gathering included Assembly members, Heads of Departments, representatives from various institutions and agencies, as well as members of the media.

During his inaugural address as the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Adam A. Hafiz took the opportunity to share his vision for the municipality, aligning it with the government's reset agenda.

He expressed his sense of duty and gratitude for addressing the assembly in 2025, focusing his speech on key topics such as:

Peace and Security

Updates on assembly projects

The 2025 DACF plan and budget

Challenges related to good governance and administrative performance

Hon. Hafiz reassured the assembly members that the municipality remains largely peaceful, despite occasional instances of violence, particularly the Tindong-Jimbally conflict, which poses a significant threat to peace and stability, with the potential to escalate into other Konkomba communities.

He also provided updates on various development projects funded through multiple sources, including:

The Gulf of Guinea Social Cohesion Project (SOCO)

The DACF-RFG or DPAT

The Ghana Productive Safety Net

The Common Fund

The MCE emphasized the commitment of the NDC government to deliver governance and services directly to the people, ensuring accountability and the prudent use of limited state resources.

This commitment is reflected in flagship programs that integrate initiatives like the 24-hour economy and CHPS compounds into local development plans and budgets.

Additionally, the decentralization of Common Fund expenditures aims to promote balanced development, with local assembly members receiving allowances to improve the lives of citizens.

He urged all members to embrace the reset agenda and contribute positively to the municipality's development, reminding them that their efforts will be remembered in enhancing the assembly's discussions and decisions.
