The current road network in the Kpandai District, primarily a lone tarred road connecting Wulensi (Nanumba South District) to Kpandai and onward to Krachi Nchumuru District in the Oti Region—pauses trade, school commutes, and access to essential services.

However, stakeholders together with residents are called upon to have a preview on the need to know and what it could take to accelerate and maintain road improvements.

As a primary artery that connects Wulensi in the Nanumba South District to Kpandai, with routes extending toward Krachi Nchumuru in the Oti Region serving as the broader road network is described as poor with many feeder roads in need of rehabilitation and urgent upgrade.

Creating gabs in connectivity, this limited routes options constrain movement for people and goods, impacting markets, access to healthcare and education

Reliable roads in the Kpandai District however will unlock access to market helping farmers, traders and small businesses resulting in reduced transport costs, post-harvest losses, enhancing access to schools clinics and other social services.

Upgrading the road network can also serve as an investment magnet, attracting public and private investment and stimulating job creation to decrease social vices in and around the communities in the Kpandai District.
