The works are funded by the District Common Fund for the 2025–2026 fiscal period, and include several legacy projects that have been stalled since 2016.

During the tour, the DCE assessed progress at multiple sites:

* Tigangam CHIPS compound and bungalow – 70% complete

* Faka D/A Primary School (6-unit classroom block) – 98% complete

* English Arabic KG block – 45% complete

* Prang community water project (mechanised boreholes and pumping) – Completed

Hon. Agyapong acknowledged that the Pru West District Assembly is committed to finishing all these projects, using the District Common Fund to improve quality healthcare, education, and infrastructure across the district and beyond.

Appeal for patience

The DCE appealed to residents to exercise patience and trust both the central government and the District Assembly to deliver on their development promises.

“The government is ever ready to serve the people massively to their satisfaction, especially in the development of Pru West and its surrounding areas,” he assured.

He emphasised that the government is working hard to complete ongoing projects and turn the district into a better place for all.

No misuse of funds

Hon. Agyapong also reassured the public that the Assembly will use the Common Fund responsibly.

“We are not here to misuse the common fund or to ‘chop’ any money from the District Common Fund. The Assembly exists to use these resources in every possible way to develop the entire district,” he said.

He urged residents to remain patient and have confidence in the government’s efforts.
