President Mahama Visits Bono East; Addresses Durbar At Kintampo Municipality
The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama is on a “Thank You Tour” all over the country to appreciate the good people of Ghana for electing him and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) into Power to be able to achieve the “Reset Agenda” they promised Ghanaians in their Manifesto.

He visited Bono East, Kintampo Municipality to thank the good people of Bono East for giving him overwhelming endorsement in all the eleven MMDCEs in the region in the December 7th 2024 general elections.
Nana Owusu the president of the Bone East House of Chief who spoke on behalf of Nananom congratulated the president for being elected as the President and welcomed him to the Bono East Region.
Nana was full of praise for the president for launching the Feeding Ghana Agenda at Techiman, the appreciation of the Cedi, and achieving a lot in his 120 days social contract with Ghanaians as promised in their manifesto during their campaign.
Nana pleaded with the President to help the Bono East Region witness improvements on road networks, upgrade college of Health and Well-being to University status; build a palace for the Bono East Regional Houses of Chiefs; help solve water problems in the region; solve the issue of Fulani herdsmen distraction to farms in their communities.
The Regional Chief Imam and Council of Churches, expressed gratitude for the reduction in Hajj fares and for appointing capable hands from within Christian and Muslim groups to man the affairs of the country.
He expressed optimism that the various programmes being implemented including the National Youth Entrepreneurship Program, among others will go a long way to bring the needed desire the public is looking for.
They pleaded with the president to give Muslim youth in the country scholarship in education, enforce laws which can prevent the youth from taking “Red” which is causing so much harm to youth.
The Regional Minister Mr. Francis Owusu Antwi also thanked the President John for all the developmental projects he has lunched in the region since he came to shape our region for improvement. He asked the president to help the region achieve development in various sectors in order to improve the lives of the people.
President John Dramani Mahama expressed his gratitude to the people of Bono East Region, Nananom, the youth of the Bono East Region and saying, “You are the True Heroes of this Victory for giving me and the NDC victory” to reset the country.
He indicated that despite inheriting a bad economy, they have chosen to work effectively, ensuring fiscal discipline to redirect resources to education, agricultural and the health sector; and strengthening the cedi to give the citizens some respite.
He also thanked all transport unions for the reduction in fares; and added that his government is working on roads in the country most especially, framing communities including Ofuman to Wenchi road.
He talked of transforming the education sector by completing all the E-blocks all over the country, free fees for first year students at tertiary schools, free education for physically challenged students, payment of allowance to all nursing students from this year January to date, establishing a new Technical University at Techiman, Forikrom and uplifting College of health and Well-being to university status. He announced plans to establish university of Health and Life Sciences in Kintampo, further reinforcing the region’s educational infrastructure and support for healthcare development.
On agriculture, he indicated that Feed Ghana was introduced to boost the small scale agriculture, by building ware houses to reduce post-harvest loses.
The president said robbery issue would be the thing of the past because security personnel are going to be deployed at all the arears mentioned most especially Atebubu areas to reduce robbery in those areas.
