“Poor road network hinders productivity” - DCE

The District Chief Executive for Afigya Kwabre South, Patricia Pearl Ankrah, has highlighted the deplorable state of roads as a major challenge facing the district.

Speaking at the Eid Al-Adha ceremony in Buoho, Madam Ankrah noted that the poor road network is significantly impacting productivity in the area.

Despite the challenges, she assured residents about her readiness to improve the roads using innovative solutions, including the use of a “drip machine” to construct and repair roads.

She emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment and announced plans to organize clean-up exercises to promote sanitation and hygiene in the district.

On his part, the District Chief Imam, Osman Abdul Rahman, used the occasion to emphasize the importance of peace and unity in the community. He urged residents, particularly the youth, to shun drugs and respect the laws of the land.

Imam Osman Abdul Rahman also called on the good people of the Bawku community to use the Eid Al-Adha celebration as an opportunity to settle disputes and promote peace and harmony.

The Eid Al-Adha ceremony, held at the Buoho school park, brought together members of the Muslim community to worship and celebrate the occasion.
