Widely regarded as one of the most tourism-endowed districts in the country, the Assembly is moving to unlock the full potential of its sites through a structured and strategic approach.

A dedicated Tourism Sub-Committee, working closely with the District Planning Coordinating Unit (DPCU), has drafted a comprehensive tourism development plan. The blueprint, currently awaiting expert input before its official launch, is expected to guide investment and coordinated growth in the sector.

In a further push, the Assembly has initiated discussions with key stakeholders, including the Ghana Heritage Conservation Trust and the management of Kakum National Park, to begin the development of identified tourist sites across the district.

Authorities believe that with the right investment and partnerships, tourism could become a major pillar of the district’s economy—creating jobs, boosting local businesses, and enhancing revenue generation.

The Assembly remains optimistic that the planned interventions will transform Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira into a vibrant tourism destination in the Central Region.
