JAMAN N: DCE cuts sod for mechanized boreholes in 3 communities
The Hon. District Chief executive of the Jaman North District, Adane Ankomah has cut sod for mechanization work to start on three boreholes in three communities in the district.

The three communities which is benefiting from the projects are, Kaabre, Mayera and Mantukwsa all at the Suma Traditional Area.
The DCE and his team of workers from the Assembly spent about one and half hour to deliberate whether the people of Kaabre needs the mechanized borehole in the community.
According to the people of the said community, mechanization of one of the two boreholes in the community is of no use to them. They asserted that, they can't pay for the electricity bills as well as the maintenance of the mechanized one and therefore requested for the drilling of an additional one making three in the community.
After about forty five minutes of debate, the Nananom as well as the people in the community accepted that, one of the already existing two boreholes should be mechanized while the Assembly helps them of an extra one.
Nananom and the people of Mantukwa as well as that of Mayera warmly welcomed the project and appealed to the DCE and his team to help the two communities with a motorable roads as well as the extension of electricity to the new sites in the communities.
The Hon. DCE and his team used the opportunity to cut sod for the construction of a 1 No: 6 unit class room block with ancillary facilities at Morle Staubli Presbyterian Primary school.
The contract is awarded to M/S RIF CONNAC Company Limited at Adum-Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. The project is to be completed within 9 months.
According to the teachers of the school, the DCE should help them with the school's football park and furniture to furnish the lower Primary.
Nananom during their welcome address appealed to the DCE and his entourage to extend the School Feeding Program to the Morle D/A Primary School.
