There are six active NGOs in the District each of these have been contributing meaningfully towards the betterment of the lives of the people in the District.These NGO include:

Habitat for Humanity

This NGO also helps various communities in the District to put up their individual houses through a co-operative system by supplying building materials to them. The people are made to pay back on installment bases.

Perma-Ghana

This NGO is an agro-based one formed in the District quite recently. The main objective of this NGO is to help farmers practice organic methods of farming through the use of vegetative (organic) materials for the manufacture of fertilizer and insecticides, instead of the use of chemicals.
