The President has equally tasked the Minister for lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah to act as Minister for Environment, Science and Technology until further notice.

In a statement signed and released by Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the decision follows the tragic demise of the substantive ministers for defense and environment, science and technology, Dr Edward Omane Boamah and Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed in Wednesday’s fatal helicopter crash.

The two ministers and six others met their untimely death while attending an official event in Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.
