Suhum MCE Joins Launch of Mahama Care Programme

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Suhum Municipality, Lydia Sarah Ohenewa, has joined officials of the National Health Insurance Authority for the launch of the Mahama Care Programme in the municipality.

The initiative, implemented in collaboration with the NHIA, seeks to improve access to primary healthcare services, particularly for vulnerable and underprivileged residents within the municipality.

Speaking at the event, the MCE emphasized the importance of the programme in enhancing healthcare delivery and improving the welfare of residents.

She also encouraged community members to take advantage of the ongoing National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) registration exercise to secure their future healthcare needs.

The Mahama Care Programme is expected to expand access to healthcare services and strengthen preventive healthcare efforts across the municipality.
