The district is witnessing significant economic and social growth. Nearly all communities are connected to the national electricity grid, powering homes and small businesses, while 192 functional boreholes provide 80% water coverage. Schools across five circuits now serve hundreds of students, with the Assembly ensuring access to quality education and modern infrastructure.

Agriculture remains a driving force, with farmers cultivating staple foods, cash crops, and increasingly high-demand vegetables. Enforcement of laws against illegal sand winning protects fertile lands, securing livelihoods for future generations.

Industrial growth is equally impressive. The Suame Magazine Industrial Development Organization (SMIDO) has expanded into Adubinsokese, supporting auto mechanics, welders, electricians, and vehicle sprayers. Meanwhile, traditional kente weaving in Brofoyedru is creating jobs for the youth, preserving culture, and attracting investors. Quarrying operations across the district supply vital raw materials for the booming construction industry.

Despite these successes, challenges remain in sanitation and electricity expansion in new suburbs. The Assembly is actively seeking solutions to ensure solid waste is managed effectively and power reaches all new communities.

With a focus on inclusive growth, residents are not just beneficiaries—they are partners in decision-making, ensuring sustainable, long-term development.

From health and education to agriculture and industry, Afigya-Kwabre South is a district on the move, turning potential into tangible progress.
