The gesture, which was also held in the Sissala East and Sissala West districts, was part of efforts by the NGO to help lessen the burden of parents in supporting their wards in schools.
The project was on the theme: “Empowering students to become agents of positive change in their communities, provide support to brilliant but needy students in the Lawra Municipality”.
Mr. Angkaarama said the NGO's objective was to among other things use holistic approach to identify students’ needs and challenges and use the same approach to provide solutions to their needs thereby empowering them for holistic success par-excellence.
“We are always committed in our small way to supporting parents’ efforts to reduce the burden on brilliant but needy students”, he explained.
He explained that the NGO was established by dedicated individuals who recognised the importance of empowering students to aspire to become good leaders in society.
He pledged the Organisation’s commitment towards supporting more brilliant but needy students within the region and beyond and appealed for more donor support to extend assistance to more vulnerable students.
Mr. Angkaarama advised the students to eschew all forms of irresponsible acts, focus on their education, and strive to attain higher laurels in the future.
He further urged them to take advantage of every good opportunity that came their way in the school and community, encouraging them to always show love and respect for their parents and teachers.
Mr. Williams Ganir Wononuo, the Board Chairman of SHEEP, encouraged the students to stay focused, avoid negative social vices, and strive to become valuable individuals who could contribute to the country's economic growth.
