A delegation led by the District Chief Executive, Ignatius Godfred Dordoe, and the Coordinating Director, Eunice Korankye, joined the project engineer and Heads of Departments on an inspection tour to assess the ongoing construction works and discuss the expected benefits of the project.

The renovation, supervised by Mahmud Habib, is aimed at improving security, comfort, efficiency, and service delivery within the assembly.

The refurbished facility will feature a modern glass reception area and a mission and vision display to enhance the identity of the assembly and create a welcoming environment for visitors.

To strengthen security, the building is being equipped with nine CCTV cameras and an access card entry system to regulate movement and improve safety within the premises.

Office spaces are also being upgraded with air conditioners and ceiling fans to provide a more comfortable working environment for staff.

The conference room will include a projector for presentations and official meetings, while photographs of past District Chief Executives will be displayed to preserve the assembly’s institutional history.

As part of infrastructure improvements, covered drains, rainwater harvesters, water storage tanks, and a pump system are being installed to improve drainage and ensure a reliable water supply.

External works on the compound include the construction of perimeter fence walls, expanded parking spaces, and washing bays for official vehicles and staff cars.

The project design also includes a dedicated events and training space to support public engagements, workshops, and community programs.

During the inspection, the DCE and Coordinating Director commended the contractor and engineering team for the quality and pace of work achieved so far. They expressed confidence that the completed facility would boost staff productivity and improve access to services for residents.

The project engineer briefed the delegation on the remaining phases of work and assured them that the project would meet all required standards before completion and handover.

According to the DCE, the renovation forms part of the assembly’s broader commitment to strengthening local governance infrastructure and promoting a more professional environment for public service delivery.
