The projects comprise a three-unit classroom block at Nkyensekoko, a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound at Frantraline, and two health posts at New Breman and Bonzain.
The facilities are expected to strengthen educational infrastructure and bring essential healthcare services closer to residents, particularly those in communities where access to such facilities has been a challenge.
Speaking to the media after the commissioning, Mr Akandoh, who also serves as the Minister of Health, said development initiatives must focus on improving the living conditions of the people. He emphasised that improving access to essential services remained a priority and urged beneficiary communities to take proper care of the facilities to ensure their long-term sustainability.
The MP assured residents that he would continue to support development initiatives to address the needs of communities across the constituency.
Nana Ofori Ahenkan III, Chief of Bonzain and Acting President of the Wiawso Traditional Council, expressed gratitude to the MP on behalf of the beneficiary communities. He said the projects fulfilled commitments made to the communities ahead of the 2024 general elections and appealed for continued support for development in the area. Some residents of Frantraline also welcomed the health facility, explaining that it would reduce the distance they had to travel to access medical care.
The projects form part of efforts to improve social infrastructure and strengthen the delivery of essential public services in the Juaboso Constituency.
The completion and commissioning of the facilities are expected to benefit residents by creating a more conducive learning environment and improving access to healthcare within their communities.
