The inspection exercise forms part of preparations toward ensuring a safe, smooth, and successful organization of the annual Easter Paragliding Festival, which attracts thousands of tourists from across Ghana and beyond.
During the assessment, some operational and structural challenges were identified at the landing zone, requiring immediate attention to guarantee safety and efficiency during the event.
As Kwahu West serves as the official landing site while Kwahu South Municipal functions as the take-off point, the Municipal Chief Executive for Kwahu West, Tamimu Halidu, joined his colleague, Hon. Effah Osei Bonsu, Municipal Chief Executive for Kwahu South, for a joint inspection of the site.
The two Chief Executives worked collaboratively with engineers, security services, and technical teams to evaluate the situation and chart practical solutions to address the identified challenges promptly.
The leadership of both municipalities expressed confidence that the necessary corrective measures are being implemented to ensure another successful Easter Paragliding Festival.
Both extended their appreciation to engineers, the security services, the Ghana Tourism Authority, and all key stakeholders for their unwavering commitment and coordination in safeguarding the integrity of the event.
Kwahu remains proud of the collective effort and determination demonstrated by all partners involved. Together, the municipalities are poised to deliver yet another memorable and successful Easter celebration.
