Mfantseman MCE Visit GNFS and National Ambulance Service Offices

The Municipal Chief Executive for the Mfantseman Municipal Assembly, Mr. Eric Stanley Acquach, has undertaken a working visit to the municipal offices of the Ghana National Fire Service and the National Ambulance Service at Abonko as part of his routine engagement with public institutions within the municipality.

The visit formed part of efforts by the Municipal Assembly to assess the operational capacity of key emergency response institutions and to gain firsthand information on the challenges affecting their ability to effectively deliver essential services to the public.

During interactions with officers and personnel of both the Fire Service and the Ambulance Service, the MCE was briefed on a number of operational and logistical challenges confronting the two institutions in the performance of their duties. These included issues relating to equipment, logistics, staffing, and general operational support required to enhance emergency response within the municipality.

Mr. Acquach expressed appreciation for the dedication and commitment of personnel of the two services, acknowledging the critical role they play in safeguarding lives and property. He noted that the Municipal Assembly remains committed to supporting institutions that provide essential emergency services to residents.

The MCE assured the personnel that, in line with his administration’s previous interventions such as the facilitation of repairs to the fire tender and the ambulance further efforts would be made to engage the appropriate authorities and stakeholders to secure additional support aimed at strengthening the operations of both services.

He further reaffirmed the continued support of the Mfantseman Municipal Assembly to the Ghana National Fire Service and the National Ambulance Service, emphasizing the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring that the two institutions are well-equipped and adequately supported to effectively carry out their mandate.

The working visit concluded with a call on officers of the two services to remain dedicated to duty, as the Assembly continues to collaborate with them to improve emergency response and public safety across the municipality.
