Nkoranza North Invests in Education and Healthcare with New Projects, 500 Dual Desks

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nkoranza North in the Bono East Region, Hon. Effah Patrick, and the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Hon. Joseph Kwasi Mensah, has jointly cut the sod for the construction of new educational and healthcare facilities to improve access to essential services in the district.

The projects include kindergarten (KG) classroom blocks at Dweneho and Dromankuma, as well as a three-unit classroom block at Dinkra.

The two leaders also cut the sod for the construction of Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds at Adoe and Bonte, alongside boreholes for nine communities across the district.

As part of the exercise, they handed over a newly constructed National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) office at Busunya and distributed 500 dual desks to selected schools in the district to support teaching and learning.

Speaking on the projects, the DCE and the MP said the interventions were aimed at addressing infrastructure gaps and improving access to quality education and healthcare for residents.

They explained that the new classroom blocks would provide a more conducive learning environment for pupils, particularly those studying in highly dilapidated structures.

The CHPS compounds, they added, would bring healthcare services closer to residents of Adoe, Bonte and neighbouring communities, thereby improving access to primary healthcare.

Hon. Effah Patrick said the projects were being funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) to address critical infrastructure needs in the education and health sectors.

He emphasised that the projects represented a comprehensive effort to strengthen educational and healthcare infrastructure and improve the well-being of residents across the district.

The projects are expected to be completed within eight months, upon which the beneficiary communities are expected to enjoy improved access to educational facilities, healthcare services and basic water infrastructure.
