He directly challenged all arms of government—the Executive, Parliament, and the Judiciary— to set aside divisiveness and coalesce around the singular goal of national good.
The apostle emphasized that this unity must be action-oriented, focused on eradicating the corrosive practices that hinder national progress. He specifically named corruption, thievery, and backbiting as detrimental forces that must be eliminated to foster an environment conducive to growth and development. His message framed national prosperity as a direct consequence of ethical collective conduct.
Expanding on this theme, Dr. Manteaw underscored the critical need for a profound attitudinal change at every level of Ghanaian society, particularly within workplaces. He urged citizens to consciously abandon mindsets and behaviors that retard progress and to instead adopt a personal pledge to pursue actions that accelerate national development.
Laying a spiritual foundation for his appeal, the apostle rooted his call for civic duty in divine principle. He expressed a firm belief that the nation's collective fate is intertwined with its moral choices, stating that when citizens do good unto their neighbors, they position the nation to receive divine favor and see its desires fulfilled.
Delivering his message during a Sunday church service, Apostle Manteaw reminded the congregation and, by extension, all Ghanaians that the New Year presents an opportunity to align with God's purpose. He asserted that scriptural promise dictates God’s intention for the country to thrive and experience His goodness throughout the year.
To harness this promised blessing, he urged a posture of confident diligence in every sphere of endeavor. "Let us with confidence in God's word do what we have to do diligently in our respective enterprises; be it in government, ministry or private endeavours," he advised, adding that all work should be executed to the glory of God.
Beyond leadership, the clergyman stressed that the imperative for seeking the nation's good rests upon every citizen. He cautioned against the pitfalls of relentless bickering and toxic partisanship, which fragment national focus and energy. His vision is one of a reconciled populace, united for the common cause of sustainable growth and shared prosperity.
