Kintampo Municipal Assembly Holds Town Hall Meeting
All Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) are expected to organize Town Hall Meetings at list twice in a year - first quarter for action plan and annual progress report and budget performance and third quarter for preparation of annual action plan and budget for the ensuing year.

This is part of their mandate to their people and a major performance target for the District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT) to get the people or community informed of their Audit report, Annual action plain, Budget statement of the Assembly, financial statement of the Assembly, performance and internal generated funds, and other projects and programs carried out by the Assembly.


And as part of compliance with article 35 (6d) and 240 (2C) of the constitution of the Republic of Ghana (1992) and section 40 of the Local Government Act, Act 936 of 2016, which enjoin the assembly to provide opportunities to citizens to participate in decision making and account to them.
It is in light of these that the Kintampo Municipal Assembly organized its third quarter Town Hall Meeting to;
1. Present and discussion key things the assembly plans to execute in 2025
2. Present and discussion funds available to the Assembly in 2025.
3. Present and discussion revenue performance as at August 2025 and
4. Project implementation performance for 2025.

At the meeting held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Conference Hall Kintampo Municipal the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kintampo Municipal Assembly, Mr. Isaac Donkor stated that Town Hall Meetings are meant to account to the people what the government and the citizens have assigned them to do for their various MMDAs.
As such, a power point presentation was done by the Municipal Budget officer Madam Blessing Konadu to brief the invited guest and stakeholders on the clear stated estimated amount of monies to be used in executing policies and programmes the assembly intended to carry out in the municipality.

Her presentation also shows the amount of monies the assembly wants to use on projects such as CHPs compounds, schools, goods and services, and payments of utility bills of the assembly among others.
Meanwhile, the citizens had the opportunity during the open forum to ask questions and get explanations to issues.
