The impactful exercise, organized in collaboration with the Twifo Praso Disability Fund Management Committee, was led by the District Chief Executive, Isaac Yawson, alongside District Coordinating Director Mr. Richard Dela Darkey, Council of State Member Hakeem Addae, Member of Parliament David Vondee, Presiding Member Hon. Daniel Agbodza, traditional leader Nana Kwesi Asiedu IV, and Head of Social Welfare Mr. Kofi Kwakye.

The beneficiaries received essential equipment carefully selected to support entrepreneurship and income generation. These included 25 Nasco deep freezers, one cassava milling machine, one hair dryer machine, two industrial sewing machines, three mist blowers, and three metal containers—tools expected to open doors to business opportunities and financial independence.

Hon. Isaac Yawson emphasized that the initiative forms part of the Assembly’s broader social protection strategy aimed at improving the livelihoods of persons with disabilities and integrating them fully into the local economy. He noted that empowering PWDs with practical tools not only enhances their dignity but also strengthens community development.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Assembly for the timely intervention, pledging to utilize the equipment responsibly to establish and expand their businesses.

The initiative marks another significant milestone in the district’s drive toward inclusivity, as the Assembly continues to champion equal opportunities and create pathways for persons with disabilities to thrive and contribute meaningfully to local economic growth.
