This decision is part of a broader strategy aimed at empowering local authorities and improving service delivery at the grassroots level.

The allocation is expected to provide Assembly members with the necessary resources to address pressing community needs and implement development projects effectively.

This initiative marks a pivotal shift in how local governance is funded, ensuring that more resources are available for local development.

In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, Samuel Akrofi, the Assemblyman for the Nii Ashaley Electoral Area, expressed his appreciation for the government's decision to allocate resource to them.

He described the initiative as a laudable effort, noting that previously, they did not receive any financial support.

Mr. Akrofi emphasized that the importance of this initiative lies not just in the amount of money allocated but in the concept of empowering local governance.

He stated, "This funding aids me in my movement to other communities within my jurisdiction, allowing me to better serve my people."
