The exercise formed part of the Assembly's commitment to ensuring that contractors adhere to project specifications, maintain quality standards, and complete works within the stipulated contract timelines.

Among the projects inspected were a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound with ancillary facilities at New Wenchi (Ahyeaem) in the Mallam-Ayigbe Electoral Area, a three-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Kanase in the Agubie Electoral Area, and the Community Day Senior High School E-Block project at Buoku.

As part of the tour, the MCE and her entourage inspected ongoing road projects, including the Droboso-Kanase-Badu Road, Kanase-Akrobi Road, and the Nkyeraa-Asampu Road, all of which are expected to improve connectivity and facilitate socio-economic activities within the municipality.

The monitoring exercise provided the Assembly with the opportunity to evaluate the quality of work and the pace of implementation at the various sites. Contractors were found actively engaged on-site, working towards the timely completion of the projects.

Speaking during a post-inspection meeting, Hon. Gloria Opoku Gyamfi expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of work being undertaken. She commended the contractors for their commitment and urged them to maintain the standards achieved so far while ensuring that all projects are delivered on schedule.

The MCE emphasized that the Assembly remains committed to providing essential infrastructure that will improve access to quality healthcare, education, transportation, and economic opportunities for residents.

She expressed optimism that the projects would be completed within the stipulated timelines and would significantly contribute to the socio-economic development of the municipality.

The contractors, on their part, assured the Assembly of their commitment to delivering quality projects that provide value for money and meet all contractual obligations.

The inspection tour concluded with a visit to the 24-Hour Economy Model Market Project at the Wenchi Thursday New Central Market, where the MCE assessed the progress of work on the flagship initiative expected to boost local commerce, create jobs, and support the government's 24-hour economy agenda.
