The engagement brought together the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), representatives from the Urban Roads and Urban Transport departments, the Operational Head of the Municipal Taskforce, traditional leaders, as well as leaders of the Pragya operators and some riders.

The discussions focused on the need to regulate the activities of Pragya operators and ensure that the Abokobi Lorry Station is properly organised to improve the movement of vehicles and pedestrians.

They also centred on the proposed relocation of the operators to an appropriate location to decongest the station and ensure that road spaces are used for their intended purposes.

The Assembly stressed the importance of collaboration among stakeholders in achieving a smooth relocation process while addressing the concerns of the operators and other affected parties.

The involvement of traditional leaders and the leadership of the Pragya operators was aimed at building consensus and securing the cooperation of all parties ahead of the implementation of the relocation plan.

The initiative forms part of broader efforts by GEMA to improve urban transport management, enforce road usage regulations and create a safer and more orderly environment for commuters, commercial transport operators and other road users.
