North Tongu: 3 new police stations to be operationalized soon

The North Tongu District Assembly in its quest to improve security in the district has rolled out plans to establish police station in more communities.

This, according to the District Chief Executive, Divine Fenu is to bring their services closer to the people for prompt response to situations.

The Assembly has thus established three (3) new police stations at Volo, Togome, and Dorfor Adidome.

These new stations are however, yet to be operationalized according to the DCE.

He said the Assembly has initiated measures by writing letters through the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for personnel to be sent to manage these facilities.

He expressed optimism that very soon all three stations would be operational as enough underground works have been done to that effect.
