Abaasua community gets potable water

The Sekyere Central District Chief Executive (DCE) Mr. Benjamin Kingsley Koduah has commissioned a mechanised borehole for people of the Abaasua community to help resolve water scarcity in the community.

The project is part of 10 boreholes constructed district-wide in some selected communities with funding from the District Assembly's Common Fund to ensure the provision of potable and safe drinking water for residents and confront water challenges.


The DCE at the commission ceremony called on Nananom to ensure the constituting of an oversight committee tasked with the maintenance of the facility to ensure its maintenance, effective management and accountability of funds generated from the usage of the facility.

Nananom expressed gratitude to the DCE and the Assembly for its goodwill and proactive response to the concerns of the community while expressing hope in the resolution of other pending infrastructural deficits and social concerns of the community.

Mr. Koduah pledged the Assembly's continuous commitment to ensuring the development of the district and its people.

He emphasized on the many interventions put in place by the Member of Parliament and the Assembly to address many developmental challenges in the District.
