The support, funded through the Disability Fund component of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), forms part of the Assembly’s commitment to enhancing the socio-economic well-being of PWDs and promoting inclusive development. Beneficiaries received various items and assistance tailored to support their income-generating activities and vocational pursuits.

Speaking during the presentation, the District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Emmanuel Jackson Agumah encouraged the beneficiaries to make effective use of the items to establish or expand their businesses and become self-reliant. He stressed that the intervention was intended to help improve living standards and reduce dependency.

The DCE further assured PWDs of the Assembly’s continued commitment to ensuring that they benefit from government social protection programmes and other development initiatives aimed at creating equal opportunities for all citizens.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Assembly for the support and pledged to utilise the items for their intended purposes to improve their economic conditions and contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities.
