Speaking at the ceremony, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Abdul Nassir, said the project was expected to boost local businesses, create employment opportunities and stimulate economic activities within the district.

He noted that the construction of the market formed part of efforts to improve infrastructure and create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.

The ceremony was attended by traditional leaders, community members and representatives of Atagiri Ltd, the contractor responsible for executing the project.

Mr Nassir reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to promoting sustainable development and improving the socio-economic well-being of residents.

He expressed optimism that the project would contribute significantly to the growth and development of Pru East and create new opportunities for residents and businesses in the district.
