The facility donated by a philanthropist Dr. Zakariya Nuhu from Atebubu but domiciled in the United Arab Emirates apart from guaranteeing a constant source of water for the Service is also expected to reduce fire response time.

At the commissioning of the facility, D.O III Victor Gyan on behalf of the Bono East regional fire commander thanked the benefactor for the gesture adding that this will help deal with the challenge of drawing water at Jato Zongo which is eleven kilometers away from Atebubu.

He said this will enable his outfit deal with fires timely and more effectively.

The Atebubu-Amantin municipal fire commander DOII Majors Nourinnon whiles expressing his appreciation to the philanthropist for the gesture said an additional tank will help enhance the storage capacity of the facility.

He said the office will also need a vehicle for effective rural fire and safety education.
