The newly completed facility, funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), was constructed at a total cost of GH¢1.397 million and is expected to bring essential primary healthcare services closer to residents in the community and surrounding areas.
Construction of the facility commenced on 20 October 2025 and was completed ahead of schedule, paving the way for residents to gain improved access to basic healthcare services without having to travel long distances.
The commissioning forms part of ongoing efforts by the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and expand access to quality primary healthcare at the community level.
The new CHPS compound is expected to support preventive healthcare, early detection and treatment of common illnesses, maternal and child health services, health education and other essential services.
Officials said the facility would help improve healthcare accessibility while contributing to better health outcomes for residents of Kudula and neighbouring communities.
The project also demonstrates the importance of targeted investment in community-level health infrastructure, particularly in growing communities where demand for essential healthcare services continues to increase.
With the completion of the facility, residents of Kudula can now look forward to improved access to healthcare services closer to home.
The Tamale Metropolitan Assembly is expected to continue prioritising projects that address critical community needs and improve the quality of life of residents across the metropolis.
