Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Commissions CHPS Compound and Classroom Block
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa in the Central Region, Hon. Olivia Bentil, together with the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, and the Member of Parliament for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Constituency, Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah, has commissioned two important development projects in the district as part of the “Accounting to the People Initiative” of the Regional Coordinating Council.

The projects commissioned are a CHPS Compound at Ato Dauda Community and a three-unit classroom block at Ofabir Community.
The CHPS compound is expected to improve access to basic healthcare services for residents of Ato Dauda and surrounding communities, while the classroom block at Ofabir will provide pupils and teachers with a more conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.
Speaking during the commissioning, Hon. Olivia Bentil emphasised the importance of investing in social infrastructure that directly responds to the needs of communities across the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District.
The projects form part of ongoing efforts by the District Assembly and its development partners to improve access to quality healthcare and education while addressing infrastructure gaps in underserved communities.
Hon. Bentil expressed appreciation to the Regional Coordinating Council, government, the MP, traditional authorities, community members, contractors and other stakeholders whose contributions helped make the projects possible.
The District Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to working with relevant stakeholders to improve infrastructure and strengthen essential social services for residents across the district.
