SAWLA: Assembly funds CHPS for deprived community

Inhabitants of Kunfusi, a suburb of the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district in the Northern region are awaiting the successful completion of a Community Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) centre to enable ease their stress in accessing primary healthcare services.

Inhabitants of Kunfusi, a suburb of the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district in the Northern region are awaiting the successful completion of a Community Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) centre to enable ease their stress in accessing primary healthcare services.

The project has already taken-off and it is being facilitated by the assembly with resources from the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF).

Mr. Isaac Mumuni Dramani who revealed the implementation of the project amidst other development projects said this is to assist the locals get a primary health facility that will respond to their minor health problems. He revealed this in an address delivered at a recent assembly meeting held in the area.

He said such projects are being undertaken district wide to enhance the quality health delivery across-board particularly in the deprived communities.

The project is currently moving on steadily in the project site, the DCE disclosed.
