In the bid to upgrade the Sawla-Fufuls road, three communities along the road have been given the concession to benefit from a number of projects to improve the lots of inhabitants.

The communities earmarked for these projects include, Nyenge, Jentilpe and Nasoyiri, all within the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district.

Mr. Isaac Mumuni Dramani who made this known in an address delivered during a recent sitting also said that this essentially forms part of the ancillary facilities attached to the implementation of the road project.

The projects designated for Jentilpe include, 2no. 3 unit classroom block, 2no. 2 unit teachers’ quarters, 1no. 1bedroom teachers’ quarters, Health post, Kitchen block, Urinal pit, 1no. 6 unit KVIP toilet and the renovation of 1no. 3 unit classroom block facility.

For Nyenge community, some 1 no. 6 unit KVIP toilet, Kitchen facility and bedrooms for certain teachers’ quarters in the area has been earmarked for the people, whiles Nasoyiri also gets the renovation of 3 no. 3unit classroom block, urinal pit, 6 unit KVIP toilet, Kitchen block amongst others.

The DCE indicated that the projects are meant to push the development agenda of the district.
