The District Chief Executive for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district assembly, Isaac Dramani Mumuni has revealed that about twenty two new communities have recently been submitted to government for consideration in energy supply.

This he claimed is to assist in the electricity expansion programme in the district to benefit certain deprived communities in the area.

Earlier some fifteen communities were earmarked to be connected and works on the project is about 80% complete for such areas, the DCE revealed in an address delivered at a recent assembly meeting.

He claimed the project ostensibly forms part of strategies to improve access to electricity up-north, especially in the local communities to boost the quality lives of the people.
