Chief Executive of the Birim South District, Baffour Mensah-Takyi has commended the security agencies, all political parties, the press and the Electoral Commission for their dedication to duty for the successful conduct of a peaceful election.

He was also full of praise to the electorate for their general comportment before, during and after the election and urged every citizen to accept the outcome of the election and forged ahead in unity for the progress of the district and the country.

The DCE who gave the commendation at the last general meeting of the assembly reminded the citizens that in every election, there is a victor and vanquished, hence the need to put away their differences and pool resources to promote the growth of the area.

Mr. Mensah-Takyi also thanked all stakeholders for their cooperation and hard work in bringing the district to its present state especially in surmounting some of the major challenges confronting the assembly since they took over in 2009.
