Construction of a modern six unit classroom block for the Nuruya Islamic Primary School at Achim Swedru in the Birim South District in the Eastern Region has been completed.

The project which is funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) falls under projects aimed at eliminating schools under trees in the country to ensure people have conducive teaching and learning environment.

Chief Executive, Baffour Mensah-Takyi told Ghanadistricts.com that much work has gone into the quest of improving standard of education in the district, inline with government quest to invest in human resource for sustainable development.

He noted that majority of school projects in the district have been completed leaving few which are hoped to be completed before the end of the year.
