Nyomoase community health planning and services (CHPS) compound in the Atebubu-Amantin District has been honored for emerging the 3rd best facility in the Brong Ahafo region for 2013 in the National Health Awards organized by the ministry of health.

The facility received a plaque, an amount of GH¢ 1000.00 and a citation which reads “The ministry of health is awarding you for being the most distinguished community health and planning services facility in the 2013 health year”.

“Your outstanding efforts in helping to reduce maternal and infant mortality were unparelled. Your frequent meetings with your dedicated staff aided immeasurably in identifying problem areas in your field of endeavor and in developing and implementing measures capable of solving these problems”.

“You succeeded in registering an impressive number of houses which were visited quarterly. You are also being awarded for your immense contribution in a distinctive way towards a continues immunization exercise in deprived communities, for achieving the best results in ante/postnatal care as well as family planning services. The ministry of health acknowledges your achievements”. It concludes.

The facility is also to be upgraded into a health center as a result.
