Hon. Emmanuel Owusu Mainu 64, former Member of Parliament for the Atebubu-Amantin constituency has passed away.

Mr. Manu who was a two time Member of Parliament on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress NDC from 2005-2013, died on Wednesday February 19 2014 at the 37 military hospital in Accra.

According to his brother Mr. Kwame Owusu Mensah who is the Atebubu-Amantin district coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization NADMO the cause of death has not yet been established.

Meanwhile the one week rites have been performed at his residence at Amantin.
Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
