MADINA:Assembly to boost infrastructure, logistics in schools

Educational Institutions in the La Nkwantanan Municipality are to see some improvement in school infrastructure and logistics following the assembly’s commitment to focus on investing and improving the education sector in the municipality.

Educational Institutions in the La Nkwantanan Municipality are to see some improvement in school infrastructure and logistics following the assembly’s commitment to focus on investing and improving the education sector in the municipality.

The assembly looks forward to providing additional classroom blocks to schools with inadequate classroom to ameliorate congestion in the classrooms; and to renovate school blocks with structure defects to make them safer for teaching and learning.

To enhance sanitation especially with liquid waste, a number of schools in the municipality are to be provided with 6-seater toilet facilities by 2014.

Mr. Dramani Saaka, Municipal Coordinating Director also revealed of plans to construct some quantities of dual desks to be distributed to schools that are most in need of desks.

He is hopeful with support from the educational Ministry and the Ghana Education Trust Fun (GETFund), the assembly would be in position to address challenges in the educational sector as quickly as possible.
