MADINA: Gov’t Appointee assumes office as MCE
Franklin P. Anku, a former Government Appointee of the Ga East Municipal Assembly has some few weeks ago assumed office as the Municipal Chief Executive for the La-Nkwantanaang Madina Municipal Assembly.

Franklin P. Anku, a former Government Appointee of the Ga East Municipal Assembly has some few weeks ago assumed office as the Municipal Chief Executive for the La-Nkwantanaang Madina Municipal Assembly.
La-Nkwantanaang Madina Municipality with capital, Madina, was curved out of the Ga East Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region in 2012 by President J.E.A Mills of blessed memory.
Mr. Anku told Ghanadistricts.com in an interview that he spearheaded a number of development agendas when he served as a government appointee, including agitating for the the inclusion of deprived schools onto the school feeding programme within the Ga East Municipality.
“One important thing I did was to champion the expansion of school feeding programme to cover areas such as Ayi-Mensah, Teyeman among others which were not on the programme of the Assembly,” he added.
In terms of the technical know-how of his new position, the MCE insisted that he acquired much knowledge and experience in the selfless role he played in the Ga East Municipality whiles adding that those skills put him in the right position to help transform the La- Nkwantanaang Madina Municipal Assembly and initiate the the kind of development that was worthy of emulation.
Mr. Anku said he would make sure ongoing projects were completed as scheduled adding that roads that needed critical attention were looked at.
