The La-Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly on Wednesday organised a town hall meeting for the chiefs and people at Oyarifa, in the Greater Accra Region, where issues like the 2014 fiscal policy were discussed.

Mr Franklin Anku, Municipal Chief Executive, said the Ministry of Health has plans to put up a hospital in the community, while the Ghana Education Trust Fund is also assisting in the construction of a six-unit classroom block.

Mr Anku said the assembly plans to collect property rate to enhance internally generated funds and commence the naming of streets.

Nii Mensah Odjengma, Chief of Oyarifa complained about erratic rainfall pattern in the area, which has affected farming activities.

He also expressed dissatisfaction about lack of a police station, market, potable water, computer laboratories for the junior high schools, health facilities and public toilets.

Nii Odjengma said Oyarifa community has no social amenities like a senior high school and vocational training outlets.
