The Offinso North District Assembly in the Ashanti Region has endorsed Mr. Samuel Appiah-Kubi as District Chief Executive for the area. He polled 21 votes out of the 21 cast, to cross the mandatory two-thirds majority votes’ threshold he required to be deemed approved.

The Deputy Regional Minister, Mr. Samuel Yaw Adusei, who was on hand to observe the election supervised by the District officer of the Electoral Commission Mr. Nuhu Mohammed praised the members for the maturity and urged them to put the interest of the assembly first.


The President’s Nominee Hon. Samuel Appiah-Kubi stated that he is standing before the house not for his own interest but for the interest and development of Offinso North and Mother Ghana at large.

He promised to do his best once as he has been given the opportunity to serve his people due to the good work done.

Mr.Appiah-Kubi promised to work diligently and in consultation with all to advance the development of the district.

He thanked the President and the Assembly members for the confidence reposed in him saying he was humble at the nomination and the endorsement.
