OFFINSO N: DCE calls for ideas to improve revenue
Internal revenue generation has been one of our deepest worry over the years, the District Chief Executive for Offinso North in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Samuel Kojo Appiah-Kubi has revealed hence calling for suggestions to improve it.

Internal revenue generation has been one of our deepest worry over the years, the District Chief Executive for Offinso North in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Samuel Kojo Appiah-Kubi has revealed hence calling for suggestions to improve it.
According to him, they targeted a total IGF of GH¢314,435.00 for 2012, but only GH¢150,502.04 were collected representing 47.86 per cent.
The DCE made this known during the Assembly’s first ordinary meeting of the third session held at Akumadan.
Delivering his sessional address, Mr. Appiah-Kubi highlighted some of the areas, successes had been recorded including in education, health, agriculture among others.
Projects
He indicated that seven Junior High Schools have been provided with classroom blocks and computers including Akumadan Methodist JHS, Akumadan D/A ‘B’ JHS, Afrancho Zion JHS, Nkenkaasu SDA JHS, Nkenkaasu R/C JHS, Nkwaakwa D/A JHS and Dwendabi D/A JHS.
He added that through the District Development fund (DDF) various classroom block were also provided for Nyinatase, Bobra and a district magistrate court building have also been constructed at Akumadan and a four bedroom Teachers quarters at Papsisi.
In the area of agriculture he said work on the expansion of the Akumadan irrigation project is about 80 per cent complete.
