About 1,096 candidates from thirty –three schools are sitting for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in four examination centres in the Offinso North District of the Ashanti Region.

The BECE which is a requirement for admission into Senior High School saw, 641 boys and 455 females participating   in the district.

The centres include Akumadan Senior school centre, Asuoso Junior high school, Nkenkaasu Senior High school, and Afrancho examination centre.

A supervisor at the Akumadan Senior School examination centre, Mr Clever Samari said all materials needed for the conduct of the examination had been provided and everything was going on smoothly.

He advised his colleague supervisors and invigilators not to put fear in the candidates but rather inspire and give them the confidence to write the examination successfully.
