Work is almost completed on a two separate 6-unit classroom blocks for Obodakaba and Mayenda communities in the Ayensuako Electoral Area in the Awutu Senya District as part of efforts to improve teaching and learning in the area.

The two beneficiary schools are Obodakaba Anglican Primary and Mayenda DA primary schools.

The Assemblyman for the area, Mr. Joseph Adikah who made this known in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com further noted that the project is about 98 percent complete is expected to completed by August 2013.

He said the project when duly completed will replace the various make-shift structures of the said schools, adding that teaching and learning could improve significantly if the two projects are completed and handed over on time.

According to him, teaching and learning have been badly affected by the present weather condition, adding that the current heavy downpour has worsened the situation since pupils have to flee from their classrooms whenever it rains.

He however expressed appreciation to government for heeding to their called and further urged the contractors to expedite works and the project to finish the project as scheduled.
