The whole town of Fomena was in high spirit when a newly completed health centre was handed over to health authorities to manage the facility in the Adansi North District.

The centre could boost of facilities such as Out-Patients Department (OPD), theatre, laboratory, dispensary, disease control unit and patients’ wards at the cost GH¢250,000.00, funded by MTN Ghana Foundation as part of the telecommunication giants corporate social responsibility.

According to Mr. James Bukari Basintale, MTN’s General Manager for the Northern sector, they have put measures in place to support Ghana’s health and educational secotor.

For his part, Alhaji Lateef Majeed, District Chief Executive for Adansi North commended the Foundation for their timely intervention.

Also, Mrs. Gertrude Mante, District Director of Health Service in the District promised the facility would help improve healthcare in the area as well as aiding student Nurses during their practical attachment.
